Much brighter sunshine today, but with a rather a chilly wind. Perfect for doing a wash-load and getting it dry, though. We can't get wifi at our pitch on this site, but this morning we sat in the restaurant to publish yesterday's blog and plan a geocaching walk from here. Time passed, and before we knew it, it was lunch-time, so decided to have a meal in the restaurant. By this time we were getting to know who was who doing the manual work on the site - David the owner, Zac his friend here to help and Jamie, Sylvie's husband. Zac is really the chef, but seems to help with site work. He and David are renovating the main loo block, so campers have the disabled one and one upstairs in the gite to use. But David proudly showed us the new 'ladies' today - three separate rooms, each with loo, basin and shower cubicle - very up-market, especially for France - and might even be ready for use tomorrow ... what a birthday treat!
Lunch was excellent, cooked by Ben (Sous Chef ), served by Sylvie, with Zac's elderly Mum pottering around setting tables and straightening the chairs. Such a homely atmosphere - we shall certainly be recommending this site to camping friends.
So to today's walk ... the path took us up behind the village with views across the valley to the Rochers,

past an ancient chateau where we were told to look out for the owner as he might show us his car collection - but there was nobody around - and through some woods. We found all the geocaches along the way - some quite ingenious contraptions e.g. a length of pipe hanging behind a tree, a dome of polystyrene painted green to blend in with the mossy rocks and a stick of bamboo in a tree (hint was 'a panda's treat').
