Yesterday's bike ride was just a warm-up for today's! We wanted to visit Auxerre for the day, approximately 15k away from here and thought about going by bus. But there isn't a bus! So plan B came into force - going by bike. The route was beside the canal, along minor roads and and as we approached the town, beside the River Yonne.
It was another sunny day, so it was a very scenic ride. We had several geocaches to look for and we were very pleased to find 5 of them, bringing our total finds to one short of 3,000. Hope to hit that target in the coming days. We found an excellent restaurant for our first meal out this holiday too.
What with all the walking about sight seeing as well as the ride back home again, the GPS read that we had covered 36k. It most certainly felt like it, especially the parts that touch the saddle!
